Global History & Geography I   
The Global History and Geography I course is the first year of the Global History and Geography curriculum.  Global I  is organized around the NYS Social Studies Standards of the New York State Department of Education including history, geography, economics and civics. 
It is presented in chronological fashion beginning in the Neolithic Era and continues up to 18th Century Europe. 
Major units include:
Global History & Geography I
  • Early Civilizations in Africa, South Asia, East Asia, Meso-America, Ancient Greece and Rome, Middle Ages in Europe, the Renaissance, Growth of Nationalism, Early Imperialism, Era of Global Exchange, Religions and Belief Systems, Industrial Revolution, the Age of Imperialism, the Era of Absolutism, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment, and the French Revolution. In order to prepare for the Final Exam, a review unit at the end of the year will reinforce the major themes developed throughout the year.
