Students receiving additional help in our Reading Program are selected based on teacher recommendation and/or performance on standardized tests.
The reading program is taught by a reading specialist with small groups of students. Classes generally meet three times a week in half hour sessions. Many of these classes are integrated into the classroom reading program.
Our goal is to work with parents and classroom teachers to help the students become strategic, independent readers and learners. Working together, we can make reading an enjoyable, rewarding experience.
