• United States History & Government is a required course that spans over one school year. At the conclusion of this course, students take the United States History and Government Regents Exam. This exam is a state exam that students must pass in order to graduate high school.

    While studying material in this course, students will learn about a variety of topics in American history. The course begins with a brief overview of colonization and the thirteen colonies and continues in a chronological fashion to the contemporary American history.
