A Message from Principal Jayme Ginda-Baxter

The closing of one door and the opening of another leads to moments of reflection, gratitude and anticipation. As I begin to transition to a new position at the Middle School effective February 1st, I have found myself reminiscing on all that Valley Central High School has provided to me personally, as a teacher, as an Administrator and as a parent. The range of emotions that I have experienced over the last 11 years as the High School Principal has provided me with a large number of laughs, smiles, and many proud moments but it has also had its share of deep loss and sadness. These emotions are something we all feel when we are invested and a part of an organization and a family. The VC Family is a part of who I am and I am eternally grateful for all of the life experiences I have encountered at the High School. Notwithstanding the amazing efforts and strength of this school community to persevere successfully through a pandemic is nothing short of herculean and stands as one of the proudest moments of my time here.

Thank you for teaching me to be the best version of myself through each of the celebrations and challenges that have taken place over this last decade. Each interaction, each event, and each milestone, has allowed me the greatest of opportunities to get to know so many members of our school community and create lasting memories. Journeys are meant to be shared with others and I am not only lucky but incredibly grateful for sharing this with those who have and still make Valley Central a great place to be a part of. To the students, the staff, the parents and the community at-large thank you for your kindness, your support, and your compassion.

Melody Beattie wrote that gratitude makes sense of the past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. As I look to tomorrow, I am excited to continue here at Valley Central in the capacity of Principal at the Middle School. It is with a full heart and a great amount of knowledge that I have been fortunate to receive from the High School that will carry me into the next ride on this journey.
