April 5th Letter from COVID-19 Coordinator

Over the break we were made aware of several Valley Central students and staff members who tested positive for COVID 19. However, all buildings are open.

  • The Valley Central High School reported one positive staff member and two positive students.

  • Berea Elementary School reported one positive staff member and one positive student.

As a reminder, in order to allow teachers and staff to adequately prepare for the arrival of students for five day a week instruction, we are going to have one recalibration day for elementary staff and one for our secondary staff. Teachers will use this time to prepare the classrooms, ensure classlists are correct, answer questions from parents and ensure we are ready for this change in instruction.

Tomorrow,  Tuesday April 6th, ALL elementary students will participate in asynchronous instruction where teachers will post assignments online and students will learn from home.  For secondary students, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 6th, Team 2 reports in-person.

On Wednesday, April 7th, ALL Middle School and High School students will participate in asynchronous instruction. For elementary students, this Wednesday, April 7th, Elementary Team 1 reports in-person.
