    Physicals  
    Physicals are due by September 30th. If desired, your child's physical can be done in school.
     
    Physicals are required for new entrants, kindergarten, grades 2 and 4.
    Vision screening will be performed on the following: new entrants, grades 1, 2, 3, 5 and any child who appears to having vision difficulties.
    Hearing screenings will be performed on the following: new entrants, grades 1, 3, 5 and any child who appears to be having difficulty hearing. 
     Students in grade 5 will be screened for scoliosis. Information will be sent out in Thursday folders.
    You will be notified if any screening results require follow-up by child's medical provider.

    Please let the health office know if your child is absent due to a cold, strep throat, flu or any other contagious illness.
     
    Gym excuses should be submitted to the health office. Copies will then be distributed to the classroom, PE & recess staff.
     
    We should be notified of any change in your child's status, i.e. a new medication, change in medication, new diagnosis, allergies, etc.
     
    If you think your child is prone to spills, or urine accidents, feel free to leave a change of clothing in the health office. Please label bag with child's name & teacher.
     
    Have your child dress weather appropriate.
     
    A  balanced breakfast is key to a good day. Please encourage healthy eating & limit sugary snacks/drinks.
     
    Children with a fever need to be fever - free for 24 consecutive hours without the aid of fever reducing medication (tylenol, motrin, etc.).
     
     If your child is ill please keep him/her home. This will expedite recovery & limit transmission to others.
