Today,  November 20, 2020, the District was informed of the following COVID positives in the District:

  • A student at the Valley Central High School – did not result in the need for contact tracing or cleaning of the building
  • A student at the Valley Central Middle School – did not result in the need for contact tracing or cleaning of the building
  • A student at East Coldenham Elementary School – did not result in the need for contact tracing or cleaning of the building
  • A student at Montgomery Elementary School – contact tracing and cleaning of the building will take place and as always, we are in  contact  with the Orange County Department of Health (OCDOH) to assist them with the identification and contact of the staff members and parents/guardians of all students that were probable direct, close or proximate contacts with the infected individual in the classroom/school building or on the school bus.  The OCDOH will make the final determination as to who is considered a close or proximate contact.

This does not affect the current operation of the buildings for Monday November 23rd. At this time, instruction for the District for Monday and Tuesday is as follows:

  • The High School and the Middle School are on Remote/Online Instruction for Monday, the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th except for Team In Person who will report to School.
  • The Elementary Schools are following the Hybrid Schedule for Monday, the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th.  Team  In Person will report to school both days.
  • Monday and Tuesday are Half Days for the entire District.

The District will be sending out a notice at the end of the day to explain our plan for after the Thanksgiving Break.
