Parent Circle Workshop Meetings Set for 2021-2022

For parents/ guardians and caregivers of children with special needs…As part of your child’s IEP, Valley Central Special Education Department offers a parent counseling and support group called Parent Circle to assist families with their child’s developmental  & educational needs.

Once a month, the Parent Circle group will meet virtually to provide emotional support, intervention strategies, community resources, and information for families of students with disabilities (such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, Anxiety/ Depression/ PTSD, or Learning  Disabilities).  These meetings provide assistance with various challenges and frustrations encountered, as well as a forum to celebrate successes.

The Parent Circle is a supportive and friendly place where parents or guardians are welcome to share their experiences and questions, or to just listen and know you are not alone! School psychologists and/ or related service providers will be available to provide resources and interventions.
