Dec. 2, 2015 - A Board of Education member, a police officer, and a Superintendent walk into an elementary school--and stories come to life.
On Nov. 23 members of the Valley Central School District gathered at East Coldenham Elementary School to celebrate Community
Reading Day. Members of the Board of Education, the district’s administrative team, the State Police, and residents of the district visited classrooms and read stories to the students.
“Not only does this event promote literacy and life-long reading habits, it also encourages strong relationships between the school and the larger community,” said East Coldenham Principal, Marianne Serratore. “We are so very grateful for everyone who took the time to visit our school and read to our students.”
