May 4, 2016 - Valley Central paints for a cause

participants at Valley Central Middle School's paint night show off their paintings
On Thursday, April 14, Valley Central Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society hosted the latest in a series of “Paint Nights” to benefit programs in the school. At Paint Night, members of the Valley Central community learn how to paint a particular scene under the instruction of VCMS art teachers Kathy Foti, Patty Behr and Ashley Nozell.  Members of the National Junior Honor Society provide dessert and help supply the painters with whatever help or support they need throughout the night.

The schools’ Paint Nights have benefited the Valley Central Back Pack Snack Attack program, which provides snacks and food to Valley Central students each weekend. The nights have also benefited the National Junior Honor Society to help defray the cost of the organization’s trips and other activities. To date, VCMS’ Paint Nights have raised $4,000 in monetary and food donations.
