May 17, 2016 - Valley Central voters approve $98.5 million budget; elect three board members
On May 17,
Valley Central School District voters approved the district’s $98.5 million
2016-17 budget proposal and elected three board of education members.
A $98,533,456 budget for the 2016-17 school year
that increases spending 1.91 percent ($1,846,191) and carries a 0.48
percent tax levy increase: 1177 yes;
candidates sought election to three open board of education seats. They are:
Chris Ann Harper: 519 votes;
Sarah Messing: 1137 votes;
Incumbent Bradley Conklin: 884 votes;
Nicole Estrada: 373 votes;
Joseph Byrne: 977 votes
are three years, beginning July 1 and will be filled by Sarah Messing, Joseph
Byrne and Bradley Conklin.
