Sept. 22 - School tax rebates for New York homeowners to change in 2016-17
New York state offers a variety of property tax relief programs, but many changes are in store for 2016-17. New this year is the Property Tax Relief Credit, which will provide rebate checks to many homeowners during the next four years. The traditional School Tax Relief (STAR) program will also see changes in how new homeowners apply for and receive benefits.
