Dec. 14, 2016 - Preliminary Investment Plan for Smart Schools Bond Act approved.
On December 12th, 2016 the Valley Central School District Board of Education approved the district's Smart Schools Preliminary Investment Plan (PIP) presented to the board by Chris Mohr, Valley Central's Director of Technology.
The PIP is the first step in securing funding from New York state's Smart Schools Bond Act, which allocates funds to districts to improve educational technology and infrastructure. Now that the PIP has been approved by the board, the next step is to solidify and present the Final Improvement Plan (FIP) for approval by the Valley Central School District's Board of Education. Mr. Mohr will present the FIP to the board on Jan. 9, 2017, and the public is encouraged to attend.
