HS/MS Guidance Department hosted Career/College Fairs
The Valley Central Middle School Guidance Department together with the High School hosted a Career Day and College Fair on Thursday, November 1, 2018.
The day began with Career Day at the MS. This experience is good exposure for our 8th Grade students as they begin to contemplate their post-high school plans. The event is a day in which the students begin to realize that the skills they are presently learning will help them reach their goals and prepare them for their future role as working adults.
Then the day continued with our College Fair at the HS. One hundred and twenty (120) colleges, trade schools, military branches and more filled our high school gymnasium from 10:20am until 12:30pm. This event allowed students the opportunity to make great first impressions with admissions counselors, ask questions and gather materials for different options after high school. It is our our guidance office’s premier event and we are extremely proud of all the hard work from both the high school and middle school guidance departments, especially Cynthia LaRuffa and Jennifer Pacione who make all the arrangements for this event under the supervision of Joseph DeBold.
