Students learned about how friction and gravity built arches like the Romans. They saw how solids act like liquids - they played strategy games, built things with gears and learned about the state of plasma as well as played with robots and made music using science.
The STEAM Museum was brought to the school courtesy of the Berea PTA.
The students knew what STEAM stood for (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and one young lady actually proclaimed that she intended to become an engineer. The students were excited to explore the museum and learn a lot in the process.
Here's what they had to say about the Mobile Museum: "I didn't know music was math." "There are so many different ways we use science." "It was exciting and fun." "I built things using gears." "Magnets are in liquids!"
Thanks to the Berea PTA for bringing this awesome experience to our school!
