The Valley Central School District has made the decision to create a co-principal model at our high school. This model will result in increased personal connections with students, improved communication with parents and community members, as well as increased opportunities and programs at all levels. We are confident this will result in positive changes for students, parents and staff.
We believe that a mid-year change provides for the greatest opportunity for a smooth transition and the ability to start the 2021-2022 school year with an outstanding plan in place and in no way will this negatively affect the daily operations of our buildings. Our plans and procedure around COVID 19 are firmly established and our COVID 19 teams will continue to work together to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
The District is utilizing the many talents of our experienced administrators to create the strongest administratives teams possible. We are very excited to announce that Mike Conklin and Russ Burns will serve as the co-principals at the High School. Mr. Conkin is in his third year as a high school administrator and Mr. Burns has been a secondary administrator for over a decade. They will be supported by the current high school assistant principals, Allison Simoskevich and Phil Rodriguez.
We are equally pleased to tell you that Jayme Ginda Baxter will serve as the Middle School Principal where her expertise and experience will be a great asset to our 6-8 students and staff.
COVID-19 has changed the educational landscape more than anything we have experienced before. The creation of this model ensures that Valley Central is proactively addressing the varied and increased needs of all students.

Thank you for your continued support of the Valley Central School District
