VCMS Students Compete at NYS FCCLA Conference

 

Valley Central Middle School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students went to the New York State FCCLA Conference at Villa Roma Resort on March 22 through March 24. Valley Central Middle School cleaned house with all 11 students who competed in FCCLA National STAR events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) winning medals.

Peyton Culhane competed in Thematic Table Setting earning Gold, Frank Dwyer competed in Career Investigation earning Bronze, Ireland Fogarty and Leah Rieber competed in Sports Nutrition earning Silver . Jonna Jurgens competed in Professional Presentation earning Bronze, Sadie Krouse competed in Repurpose Redesign earning Silver, Sabrina Mandelville competed in Cake Design earning Silver, Juliza Nieves competed in Professional Presentation earning Silver, Lauryn Olonko and Gianna Roache competed in Focus on Children earning Silver and Abigail Segrich competed in Career Investigation earning Silver.

The following students were asked to compete at the FCCLA National Conference in Denver, Colorado representing NYS FCCLA this July:
Ireland Fogarty, Leah Rieber, Sadie Krouse, Juliza Nieves, Abigail Segrich.
