Summer School Program Information

Valley Central Summer School 2026

Valley Central School District is pleased to offer Summer School opportunities for middle and high school students to support academic growth, credit recovery, and Regents preparation.

Program Dates

Start Date: Monday, July 6, 2026
End Date: Thursday, August 6, 2026

Classes will be held Monday through Thursday each week.

Location

Valley Central High School
Students should enter through the Pool Entrance. Signage will be posted at the front of the building to assist with directions.

Summer School Schedule

High School Schedule

  • Period 1: 8:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.

  • Period 2: 9:20 a.m. – 10:35 a.m.

Middle School Schedule

  • Period 1: 8:00 a.m. – 8:48 a.m.

  • Period 2: 8:53 a.m. – 9:41 a.m.

  • Period 3: 9:46 a.m. – 10:35 a.m.

Summer School Course Offerings

Grades 9–12

  • A limited number of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies courses will be offered based on enrollment requests.

  • Edmentum Credit Recovery Program (self-paced online learning)

    • Dates: July 6 – August 6, 2026

    • Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Grades 6–8

  • Courses in ELA, Math, and Science will be offered.

Regents Examination Preparation

A limited number of High School Regents Exam Preparation Classes will be offered from August 10–13, 2026.

Transportation Information

Transportation will not be provided for students attending Summer School.

  • H.S. Students who only have a first session class are expected to leave campus at 9:15 a.m.

  • H.S. Students who only have a second session class should arrive no earlier than 9:10 a.m.

Attendance Expectations

Summer School has a strict attendance policy.

  • Students who accumulate three (3) absences will be denied Summer School credit.

  • Arriving more than 15 minutes late to class will count as one-half absence.

  • Arriving more than 45 minutes late will count as a full absence.

Regular attendance is essential for student success.

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to follow the Valley Central School District Code of Conduct at all times. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from the Summer School program.
