Volunteer coaches must submit a letter of interest and hold a current NYS Coaching Certification.
The anticipated start date for these positions is November 12, 2026.
Please be advised that coaches may be required to work up to six days per week throughout the regular season and/or on school breaks. Post season could be 7 days a week.
The winter season is anticipated to begin on November 16, 2026, for JV and Varsity sports and November 23, 2026, for Modified sports, and may continue through each sport’s respective state championship dates, unless otherwise directed by NYSPHSAA.
Attendance at all required preseason obligations is mandatory, including:
- Coaches Meeting: Anticipated date of November 12, 2026
- Professional Development Session: Anticipated date of November 30, 2026 ● JV/Varsity Coaches, Parent/Caregiver, and Student-Athlete Meeting: Anticipated date of November 24, 2026
- Modified Coaches, Parent/Caregiver, and Student-Athlete Meeting: Anticipated date of December 9, 2026
All coaches are expected to read and sign off on the Interscholastic Athletic Handbook prior to the start date of their respective season.
All applicants must hold current New York State Coaching Certification and Concussion Certification in order to be recommended for appointment to the Board of Education.
