Social Skills Classes
Information on a Social Skills Classes provided by Hudon Valley Behavioral Solutions in Highland.
Social Skills Classes:
Our Social Skills classes focus on core skills that are used in a variety of social situations. We address basic skills such as eye contact and listening as well as working on more complex skills like conflict resolution, handling bullying, and recognizing nonverbal social cues.
Social skills can be difficult to teach. Rather than having students simply talk about the skills, we manipulate the surroundings in order to make the instructional setting as close to the natural environment as possible. Parents are given a summary sheet to help with the generalization of skills at home.
Classes have monthly payment options, most classes can also be paid for through insurances (authorization required and copays may apply).
