Assistant Principal – Elementary
The Valley Central School District currently has two positions open for elementary assistant principal. The assistant principal will help spearhead our efforts to ensure high academic standards with a focus on the social-emotional needs of all students. This individual will be an expert of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, inclusive of technology integration, co- teaching strategies and differentiation to meet individual student needs. Assignments are posted on a shared Google Sheet. DEPs are expected to photograph events throughout the district as needed, with a calendar system/spreadsheet provided to select events. (about 5-7 events per month). DEPs are not assigned to any one building in particular. Assigned events are generally outside of the school day and will include weekends and at times, travel outside of the district (i.e. Senior Ball coverage).
DEPs photograph assignments and then are expected to edit their 20 best photographs that capture the essence of the event. These photos are shared in a Google Drive with the District’s Communications department within 24-48 hours of the event. All photographs and videos are considered District property for any usage and copyright purposes exclusively. Due to FERPA, photographs may not be shared outside of District use.
