It’s Scholarship Season, and deadlines are approaching!
Scholarship opportunities are viewable in the student’s SchooLinks Account Scholarship Section – (Scholarship information is updated ongoing throughout the year and SchooLinks provides detailed information and direct access to the applications.) – Every Senior at Valley Central High School is equipped with a SchooLinks account. Students can go to the “FINANCES” tab in their account and then click on “SCHOLARSHIP MATCHING” and then click on the individual scholarships listed for scholarship eligibility requirements, application instructions, and deadlines. *this replaces the Common Application for Local Scholarships that was utilized in the past.
The Valley Central Scholarship Council Application is now available. – It is posted in SchooLinks and also available on their site www.vcsc1964.com. This scholarship application will be due to the HS Guidance office on 4/15/24. Last year, the Scholarship Council gave out over $30,000 in awards to Valley Central Seniors- that is a huge amount of money reserved ONLY for VC students so don’t miss out. The awards ranged from $500 to $2500.
The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan- (available now, and due 4/15/24 via their website). Students will go to the foundation website https://cfosny.org/, and follow the link for “Apply for a Scholarship”.
The SUNY Orange Foundation- www.sunyorangefoundation.org/apply-for-scholarship .Every year, more than 250 SUNY Orange students are awarded approximately $430,000 in scholarships. Deadline is 4/08/24.
