The Valley Central School District has an outstanding Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Program! We are thrilled to announce the anticipated continuation of this program for the 19th year. Our UPK program for the 2026-2027 school year plans to again offer half-day, full-day and expanded-day placements.
Eligible children include those who reside in the district and who will be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2026.
If you have an eligible child or know someone who has an eligible child, please share this information with them. Applications will be available beginning Thursday, January 22, 2026. We will also hold a Parent Information Night on January 22, 2026 at Berea Elementary School. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation to begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
The UPK application period runs from January 22, 2026 through February 13, 2026 if you wish to be included in the lottery, but even if you don’t get your application in by February 13, we welcome your application anytime during the school year.
