Registration information for the 2026–2027 Winter Sports Season is listed below for parents/caregivers and student-athletes.
Winter Sports Registration Dates
- JV/Varsity Sports: Arbiter registration opens Oct. 16, 2026.
- Modified Sports: Arbiter registration opens Oct. 23, 2026.
Valley Central School District uses Arbiter Sports (formerly FamilyID) to sign up for sports, including physical requirement information.
Please note that valid physicals are required. You must be approved in Arbiter Sports (formerly Family ID) to participate in tryouts. Approval status will be communicated via an email to the account holder’s email address listed in Arbiter Sports (formerly Family ID).
Winter Sports Tryout Dates
- JV/Varsity Sports: Tryouts begin Nov. 16, 2026.
- Modified Sports: Tryouts begin Nov. 23, 2026.
Once a student-athlete is registered in Arbiter, the coach of the selected sport will communicate important tryout information, including dates, times, and locations through Parent Square and/or Google Classroom.
Physical Examination Dates
Students must have the required physical examination on file to participate in athletics.
High School — JV/Varsity Sports Physical Dates:
- Oct. 27, 2026
- Nov. 10, 2026
- Nov. 12, 2026
- Nov. 17, 2026
Middle School (grades 7th and 8th) — Modified Sports Physical Dates:
- Oct. 20, 2026
- Oct. 29, 2026
- Nov. 19, 2026
Please note: November 17, 2026, is available for both Middle School and High School students.
Students who need a physical should call the nurses office at 845-457-2400, ext. 17700 or ext. 17702 to make an appointment.
Parents/caregivers and student-athletes are encouraged to complete registration and ensure all required health documentation is up to date in preparation for the winter sports season.
