Introducing Michael Catania, Jr., Valedictorian, In The Graduating Class of 2026

Valley Central School District is proud to introduce Michael Catania, Jr. as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2026. He is ranked #1 in his class. We asked Michael some questions about his time at VC and his future plans and here are his answers:

Q: What honor societies are you a member of?
A: “English Honor Society, Gradus Honoris, Math Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society.”

Q: What sports have you been involved with during your time in High School?
A: “Soccer and Wrestling.”

Q: What are your plans following High School? If college, which one do you plan to attend?
A: “University of Delaware; Mechanical Engineering.”

Q: What are your hopes for your career plans?
A: “Mechanical Engineer.”

Q: What will you remember about your years spent at Valley Central?
A:
“Looking back, I will most cherish the memories of my time playing soccer and wrestling because of the impact my teammates and coaches have had on me. I am also thankful for my close friends who made the journey enjoyable, and for the teachers who formed a love of learning in me while always pushing me to succeed.”
