Dear VC Community,
As you may know, spring is a busy time at the high school. One of our time-honored events for seniors is the annual Mock Disaster. This year’s simulation event will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Due to scheduling conflicts, there is no rain date. The program will begin at approximately 11:45 a.m. and conclude at 1:50 p.m.
Seniors will experience a simulated disaster with assistance from our local fire departments, emergency medical services, and police departments, as well as hear from a guest speaker. Please note that you will see emergency vehicles in front of the high school in the visitor parking lot, and may hear the use of a loud sound system if you are near the school during this time.
We look forward to sharing this important message with our students once again, and thank all of our emergency responders for their service to our school community, including all of our local volunteer fire departments, the Town of Montgomery Police, Mobile Life Ambulance Services, the Town of Montgomery Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Quality Towing, and the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home. We are very grateful that our community generously pitches in to help present a moving and memorable event for our seniors as they prepare for their Senior Ball and all of the events that accompany Commencement.
