2121- Board Member Qualifications

The qualifications of a candidate for the office of member of the Board of Education are that the candidate:

  1. be at least eighteen years of age;
  2. be able to read and write;
  3. be a citizen of the United States;
  4. be a qualified voter of the district; and
  5. be a resident of the school district for at least one year prior to election.
  6. may not have been removed from any school district office within the preceding year;
  7. may not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family; and
  8. may not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office.

No employee of the school district may be a member of the Board.
