The Board of Education believes that detention is an effective method of discipline for students. Students may be assigned detention by teachers and/or administrators. It is the student’s responsibility to notify his/her parent or guardian of the assigned detention. Transportation will be made available for students who are assigned a detention and who need a ride home. The teacher/administrator supervising the detention period will be responsible for dismissing the student in time for such transportation.
