8240-R- Traffic and Parking on School Property

The Board of Education of the Valley Central School District has authorized Local Law Enforcement to enforce parking regulations on District property. All District staff, students and visitors who park on District premises shall be prohibited from:

  1. Parking in a parking area, driveway, or road during snowstorms, flood, fires or public emergencies;
  2. Parking in a fire lane;
  3. Parking on grass, playing fields, playgrounds or other similar surfaces;
  4. Parking in any area where it constitutes an obstruction to traffic;
  5. Parking in any non-designated or unauthorized parking area, roadways, driveways, or other driving surfaces;
  6. Parking in a designated Handicapped parking area without displaying a valid permit or by an individual not authorized to use the valid permit;
  7. Students parking without displaying a valid parking permit;
  8. Speeding and reckless driving;
  9. Overnight parking, unless authorized in advance by the Building Principal.

Violations of the District’s traffic and parking rules and regulations may result in a range of penalties, including but not limited to, ticketing, towing and booting at the owner’s expense, and/or loss of parking privileges.

The District disclaims all liability and responsibility for damage to or theft from vehicles.
