Budget Passes | Voters approve 2024-25 budget, elect two to Board of Education

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Valley Central School District residents approved the proposed 2024-2025 budget of $129,300,000. 

The unofficial budget results are as follows:

The budget passed with 70.9% voter approval, 662 yes votes and 272 no votes.

This budget represents a 2.74% increase over the current year’s budget.

This budget maintains all programs for our students while staying under the tax cap and maximizing state aid. 

Proposition 2, a $5.1 million capital project, passed with  72.4 % voter approval, 673 yes votes and 256 no votes.

The two candidates elected to the two open seats on the Board of Education on May 21, 2024 are as follows:

Joseph Bond
Angela Terralovora

Their terms will be July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.
