How Our 2021-2022 Back to School Plan was Developed

Our 2021-2022 Back to School Plan was developed with a Back to School task force of administrators and staff members. 

The Valley Central Back to School Task Force was composed of: 

  • Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents
  • School Business Official
  • All the Principals of our schools
  • Directors of Technology, Special Education, Special Program and Student Services, Food Program, Facilities, Athletics,Data/Testing and UPK
  • District Nurse Coordinator
  • VCTA Representatives:  5 teachers and 1 paraprofessional 
The Valley Central School District utilized the following guidance from the CDC, the American Association of Pediatrics, and NYS Education Department as we developed our 2021-2022 Back to School Plan, as was directed by the New York State Commissioner of Education:

The 2021-2022 Back to School Plan was reviewed by our District Medical Director, Dr. Lin Remenar, and our District Attorneys for their feedback which was also incorporated in the plan.  The plan was also discussed with the Valley Central Board of Education for input as well. 

 Each section of the 2021-2022 Back to School Plan lists the person in the district who oversees that area of the plan with their email contact and the entire list of references used to develop this plan is listed to the right on the 2021-2022 Back to School Plan web page
