Valley Central returns to our hybrid instructional plan on Tuesday, January 19th. Our teachers, administrators and staff have been working very hard to make this happen and we could not be more appreciative of their efforts.
- If your child is a 100% online student, they will continue with that model.
- If your child is a part of Team In-person and they attended school 5 days a week before the pause, they will continue with that model. This team consists of our self-contained and ALC students.
- Team 1 attends in-person instruction on Mondays and Thursdays
- Team 2 attends in-person instruction on Tuesdays and Fridays.
As was written in our reopening plan, we are starting the process to bring students back in for in-person instruction on Wednesdays. In order to work toward equalizing the number of days Team 1 and Team 2 are provided with in person instruction, for the month of February Team 1 will attend in person school each Wednesday, excluding the holiday week. This includes February 3rd, 10th and 24th.
Also starting in February there will be no more two hour delays on Wednesdays at the secondary level and elementary schools will follow a normal schedule.
Beginning in March, we will alternate Wednesdays. The specific dates for each team for March and April are below and will be posted on our website.
Once the winter has passed and all snow days have been taken into account, we will assign Wednesday in-person instruction for each team to ensure it is equitable.
As always, if you have questions or concerns please reach out. If you have specific questions about your child’s schedule, it is suggested that you email the building that your child attends.
In addition please feel free to reach out to Central Office if we can assist in any way. These have been difficult and uncertain times. The landscape shifts on a daily basis at times. We will continue to update you on any and all changes to this plan.
Thank you for your continued support of the Valley Central School District. Stay healthy and safe.
