Work has begun on our Capital Project Reconfiguration of the HS/MS Bus lanes/parking with tree removal so please use extra caution while in and around the HS/MS campus as the contractor works.
Brad Conklin, School Business Official, reported on the tree removal at the February 14, 2022 Board of Education meeting. Mr. Conklin reported that although work is taking place during the day, there is no removal of trees near the buildings while school is in session. He noted for every tree that is removed, a new one will be planted on campus to replace it and there will be over seventy additional trees planted on the campus as well.
We expect major construction to take place this summer and the campus is going to be significantly disrupted. Therefore, we have made a change to the summer school program as follows:
- The secondary program will be at Montgomery Elementary
- The elementary program will be at Walden and Berea
- The summer enrichment program will be at East Coldenham
- The extended school year program will be at ALC as usual
