VCMS 6th Graders Send Soccer Balls to Africa

VCMS 6th-grade teacher, Mrs. Demar told her students about her friend who is helping build schools for a village in Burkina Faso in West Africa. She explained that the children in that village used a tied-up garbage bag (filled with garbage) to play soccer. So each of Mrs. Demar’s four classes decided to send them decorated and signed soccer balls! Here is a photo of children of that village in Burkina Faso playing with one of the soccer balls sent by Mrs. Demar’s 6th graders!
