The VCHS Girls Varsity Soccer team had an amazing 10-4 season which earned them the 2nd seed in the Section IX Class AA playoffs. This was the 8th consecutive season that the Lady Vikings have qualified for the playoffs.
The team faced Goshen on Thursday, October 26th and won 3-1. It was the 4th time in the last 5 years that they have made it to the Section Finals. They faced Minisink Valley on Sunday, October 29th. The Lady Vikings beat Minisink Valley 1-0 on a late goal by Hannah Stahl, assisted by Julia Capicchioni.
This is the second Section title the girls team has won in the last 4 years and will be the first time the girls team will be playing in the State Champion (the first Section title was during the COVID season). They will face the winner of the sub regional game between Somers (Section I) and Vestal (Section IV) on November 4th at 3PM at Wallkill HS.
