Spring is the time that Seniors are thinking about their next steps in their educational career. Below you will find information on scholarship opportunities and a link for Financial Aid.
Each scholarship has unique terms. There are awards for all types of students no matter if there path is to college, career or the military.
Take the time to examine each and every opportunity available to you and apply.
Please realize that you may require a transcript or letter of recommendation and allot yourself ample time to acquire them. Some are due shortly after we return from spring break.

- Valley Central High School Common Application for Local Scholarships –DEADLINE: April 3, 2024 by 2:00PM (available 3/5) –
- This application is separate and different from the Valley Central Scholarship Council application. This common application is used to apply to many different local area scholarships from generous donors in our community. Counselors will head into English classrooms to instruct students how to apply. Applications will be made available in the Class of 2024 Guidance Google Classroom or in the guidance office on 3/5.

- The SUNY Orange Foundation– DEADLINE: April 8, 2024
Every year, more than 250 SUNY Orange students are awarded approximately $430,000 in scholarships. - The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan– DEADLINE: April 15, 2024

- You will need an unofficial copy of your HS transcript for this application- stop by the guidance office and pick one up or request it by email.
- A CFOS representative has been conducting workshops in completing the CFOS Common Application. Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to earn scholarships through the Community Foundation Application.

- Schoolinks Scholarship Section – (ongoing throughout the year) – various applications with various due dates. Every Senior at Valley Central High School is equipped with a Schoolinks account. Students can go to the “FINANCES” tab in their account and then click on “SCHOLARSHIP MATCHING” and then click on the individual scholarships listed for scholarship eligibility requirements and application instructions.
